The LHEEA at FOWT 2023 in Nantes

The FOWT 2023 conference (Floating Offshore Wind Turbines) will be held in Nantes on 10 and 11 May. These two days will be followed by technical visits, one of which will take participants offshore to visit the SEM-REV site.

This international event on floating wind energy brings participants together to meet and exchange ideas during plenary conferences. FOWT's objective is to develop the sector and speed up its inclusion in the renewable energy mix. This event is an opportunity for constructive discussion between the different actors and stakeholders in this emerging sector.

3 representatives of the LHEEA will participate in the conference at the 2023 edition:

11 May at 11.10am:  Technical Session 2 - FOWT design tools, digital twins & control optimization : How to analyze and safeguard the integrity of subsea lines and cables.

11 May - 1.50pm: Technical Session 3 - Mooring lines & Power cables: Utilizing new technologies to optimize monitoring, maintenance and costs

11 May - 3.15pm: Technical Session 4 - New concepts of FOWTs: Results of the latest innovations to drive the deployment of FOW

Speaker: Gaspard Engel, Centrale Nantes: Validation of the Hexafloat platform in irregular wave conditions


Offshore visit #3 (FULL): Discover the life cycle of a demonstrator off the coast of Le Croisic

An offshore visit to SEM-REV will take place on Friday 12 May with BW Ideol and the Grand Port Maritime de Nantes Saint-Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique). This visit is coordinated by the Pays de la Loire Region.
