Ellyn Bourdila, MRE Project Manager

Ellyn joined the SEM-REV team as MRE research engineer on 1 April 2022. After training in offshore engineering at ECN, she worked as structural & hydrodynamic engineer at Chantiers de l'Atlantique on the design of electrical substations for offshore wind (EPCI and R&D projects). Ellyn then joined the marine engineering and instrumentation team of IFREMER for a floating observatory project aiming at monitoring physico-chemical parameters and various biological compartments at different levels of the water column. For Biotope, she prepared operational aspects for data acquisition campaigns regarding marine megafauna, as part of the environmental monitoring of Saint-Nazaire wind farm.

Within SEM-REV team, she will mainly coordinate the development of a new infrastructure for the Le Croisic test site.

Laura-Mae MACADRÉ, MRE Project Manager

Laura-Mae joined the SEM-REV team as MRE Project Manager at the end of April 2022. Within SEM-REV, she is in charge of the EOLINK demonstrator, an innovative 5MW floating offshore wind turbine.

Over the past ten years, she has been involved as a Project Manager on multiple MRE projects at national and international level. She managed both collaborative research projects and commercial contracts. Before she joined SEM-REV, she was in charge of European collaborative projects at WEAMEC, an MRE network in the Pays de la Loire region, with a strong focus on Research, Innovation and Education. Prior to that, she worked as a Program Manager at General Electric, managing the development of new features for the Haliade X (+12MW) wind turbine, in particular for the US market. She also worked as MRE Product Manager at Bureau Veritas for several years, gaining experience in certification, standardisation and risk assessment. She has an engineering background from Ecole Nationale des Ponts ParisTech and Ecole des Mines ParisTech, with a specialization in mechanical engineering, materials science and energy.

For Laura-Mae: “This is a great opportunity for me to contribute to the development of the MRE sector in a very concrete way, while being part of a unique test site in France and in Europe.”

The SEM-REV operational team is now made up of 16 people with various positions and roles that will allow the SEM-REV test site to continue its development and to support the growth of the MRE sector in France and in Europe.
