The Dutch Marine Energy Centre (DMEC) is happy to announce the approval of the Marine Energy Alliance (MEA) project. In this four-year project
eight partners will combine their marine energy expertise to deliver integrated technical and commercial support services to forty technology developers in north-west Europe
.
Besides DMEC, the partnership comprises the European Marine Energy Centre (UK), the Centre for Marine and Renewable Energy (IR),
Ecole Centrale de Nantes
(FR),
the Martitime Research Institute Netherlands (MARINE), Exceedence (IR), INNOSEA (FR), Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (NL), the University of Edinburgh (UK) and communication partner Navingo (NL).
Together they aim to develop and pilot an integrated service portfolio ready for roll-out after the project lifetime.
MEA unites regional experience capabilities of leading organisations with a track record in marine energy development. The main objective is to progress the combined technical and commercial maturity level of 40 SMEs developing Marine Energy technologies, reducing the risk in the subsequent demonstration phase. This is achieved by delivering a suite of integrated technical and commercial services, tailored to the needs of each SME supported in the project.
